No, not a perfect series. So many chances missed but they opted for a political intrigue storyline which left the leads a bit wasted.
However, it could fair better as a binge watch with a bit of skipping the subplots. Still worth watching, it is beautiful to look at.
The first 2 episodes were off to a good start and with 2 of the most watchable stars in the world today, IU and Byeon Woo-seok, this series could become an overnight classic. Providing it does not ruin everything on the final episode of course. Dynamite Kiss and various others come to mind.
If you have just discovered Byeon Woo-seok – check out Lovely Runner available on Prime Video soon to be on Netflix. One of the best CDR of all time and def one of the most rewatchable.
Without giving anything away, the scene is set for intrigue, romance and comedy with a grounding in drama. Too much intrigue, they forgot the humour and the drama was disappointing.
