Lee Joon-hyuk: It would have been great to have seen even more of Lee Joon-hyuk, he felt a little underused and episode 7 was definitely a highlight when we were able to see the leads acting together.

Shin Hye-sun gave another powerhouse performance.

The series begins with the discovery of a woman’s body in the sewers of an upscale Seoul district. The victim is initially identified as Sarah Kim, a high-society executive for the elite (but fictitious) luxury brand Boudoir. As Detective Park Mu-gyeong investigates, he uncovers that “Sarah Kim” is a masterfully crafted fraudulent identity.

Detective Mu-gyeong’s relentlessly pursues the real person behind the many aliases, ages, and backgrounds used by the victim.

Flashbacks reveal how a working-class woman named Kim Mi-jeong used various identities (such as Mok Ga-hui and Kim Eun-jae) to manipulate her way into the upper class, ultimately “inventing” the persona of Sarah Kim to achieve ultimate status.

The performances are excellent and the programme flows very well. It does over complicate itself in a couple of places where all we really want is to see the cat and mouse between Sarah and Detective My-gyeong.

The shows production values and slick visuals and glamorous fashion add to the polished overall look, directed by Kim Jin-min (My Name)
