It should be noted that waiting for episodes to drop does detract from the enjoyment of the whole series. Hence, Can this love be translated, did have the advantage of being able to carry on its story in one go. Idoli would have done better released in one go also.
Includes those that started in December 2025 but will finish in 2026. Info will be added weekly from 12th Jan. Subtitled in English unless otherwise stated.
Look out for First Episode Comments. FEC

Good ensemble cast and especially looking forward to seeing Park Sung Hoon in a romantic lead.

(Romantic / Mystery) Eps: 12 (Recommended Viewing)

Premiered in December, currently running. UK: Netflix
A star lawyer and devoted fan defends her idol after he is accused of murder.
Would have benefitted from dropping all episodes at the same time. Mysteries and thrillers don’t work so well when you have to wait for episodes and have to keep piecing together what is going on.
The Judge returns

Cast: Ji Sung, Park He Soon, Won Jin Ah
Premiere: Jan 2nd / UK: Viki
Time travelling corrupt judge, (Ji Sung) travels back 10 years into his past. Given a second chance he seeks justice by fighting and punishing evil deeds.
FER Took a couple of episodes to build the judge character and get to the time jump where the show will either sink or swim. So far, its on the list to watch but it hasn’t grabbed yet.

Spring Fever
(Romantic Comedy) Eps: 12 (Dubbed in English)
Cast: Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Joo Bin, Cha Seo Won, Cho Jun Young
Premiere: Jan 5th / UK: Prime
An emotionally cold high school teacher meets a passionate man who melts her heart.
Should you watch? Yes, unless bad language averse. Modern romantic comedy.
Episode 1 – Interesting leading man that scares everyone to death and is not your typical build. The heroine is cold owing to something in her past that caused her to be less outgoing.
Set up for some good scenes of comedy, however so far it is edging towards the melodramatic side. Episodes are an hour long and there seem too many secondary characters in the first episode. Quirky feel in music but language is 18 rated with several F words from heroine and other characters.
Towards the end of first episode, a good-looking nemesis, Cha Seo Won, arrives on screen and offers all sorts of new directions the story could take.
Lee Joo Bin is a multi talented actress, last seen in Queen of Tears. Ahn Bo Hyun conveys a menacing tough guy with a soft heart.
The cliff-hanger on episode one was enough to for me to watch episode 2. Released weekly so if you want to binge watch, you will need to wait a few weeks. Check out our best of 2025 and best of all time.
It begins to lose some of it’s comedy worth in episode 3 as Ahn Bo hyun becomes more normally and no longer has the ‘what will he do. next’ vibe.
Can this love be translated?
(Romantic Drama) Eps 12 (Dubbed in English)
Cast: Kim Seon Ho, Go Youn jung, Fukushi Sota
Premiere: Jan 16th / UK: Netflix Though with star power
Romance between a multilingual interpreter and a top star.
No Tail To Tell
(Romantic comedy) Eps 12
Cast: Kim Hye Yoon, Lomon
Premiere: Jan 16th / UK: Netflix
Fantasy romance about a quirky 9 tailed fox who does not want to be human until a wish gone wrong makes her so. An overly confident world-class soccer player complicates matters further.
FEC Good start to a long awaited series. Kim Hye Yoon’s mesmerising performance makes you want to see just where she is heading next. Def passes the first episode test but it has also set itself up for a few pitfalls. As to whether it avoids them only the next couple of episodes will tell.
Still seems to be showing events mainly in flashback, though this is easily forgotten.
Undercover Miss Hong
(Comedy) Eps:16
Cast: Park Shin-hye
Premiere Date: Jan 17th / Netflix
A 35 year old financial inspector is reassigned to pose as a 20 year old junior to investigate suspicious financial activity at a securities company.
Slow to get going with a lack of comedy, the lead actress does her best to bring a lack lustre script to life.
Positively Yours
(Romantic Comedy) Eps: 12
Cast: Choi Jin Hyuk, Oh Yeon Seo
Premiere Date: Jan 17th / Viki
A one night stand between two people causes them to change their mind about marriage.
Definitely one to keep an eye on, the first episode was intirigueing and the story works due to the lead’s chemistry.
